Dr. Lilian Ciachir is the Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair in Interculturality, Good Governance, and Sustainable Development at the University of Bucharest. With over 20 years of experience in academia and intercultural project management, he has played a central role in advancing the Chair’s mission to promote ethical governance, sustainable development, and intercultural dialogue.

Dr. Ciachir holds a PhD in Business Administration, awarded magna cum laude, for his research on business ethics and skills development in higher education. He is also pursuing a second doctoral degree, focusing on the interplay of religion and ethnicity in Transylvania during key historical periods, reflecting his interest in intercultural and historical studies.

His research spans topics such as ethical challenges in e-learning, interfaith relations in Eastern Europe, and the ethical dimensions of modern economic systems. He has contributed to numerous academic publications and presented his work at international conferences, emphasizing the integration of ethical and sustainable practices in education and governance. As Coordinator, Dr. Ciachir continues to lead projects and initiatives that align with UNESCO’s vision of fostering inclusivity and sustainability through education and dialogue.
